We cannot work on this until ConnectWise opens the capability to allow custom pods to be visible in the Opportunity or Activity. When that does become available, we will explore it.

Jason Casuga is there a manual workaround at the moment? Can we link to an activity when generating dynamic meeting request links?
Jason Casuga
Dan Baird : I'm not sure what you mean when you say "Can we link to an activity...". Are you asking if a scheduling request is sent to a client and they create an appointment, will the confirmed appointment date/time details be added to the activity? If so, then TimeZest can already do that. If that's not what you're saying, can you give more details?

Jason Casuga i guess i was wondering if there is a manual way for us to create appointment request links that are linked to a sales activity, just like how you can create appointment request links that include the ticket number to link to the ticket.
Jason Casuga
Dan Baird Unfortunately not. The URL-based scheduling URL is referencing a ticket number only. Activities have their own Rec ID in the database which that URL does not reference.
Happy to jump onto a call to talk this through if you're interested: https://365.timezest.com/jcasuga/product-feedback-30

Within our organisation, we would mostly use TimeZest with our Sales Team who primarily would be working out of Opportunities/Activities. Has there been any progress with implementing the TimeZest pod into Activities?
The interactions with customers would generally be captured in an Activity, not a service ticket and from what I understand the current TimeZest workflow actions would allow creating an opportunity/Activity but would still need to be coordinated from a service ticket, is that correct?

any update on this?
Jason Langenauer
Matt Carver: There's no ability yet to display the TimeZest pod against an opportunity in CWM, but we are currently working on workflow actions to create opportunities in CWM/AT, as well as do URL-based scheduling against opportunities. These features should be released in the coming weeks.

We link a primary ticket to Opps in Autotask because sales time must be captured so this is where we would use this. I have told Autotask that the Opportunity entity should basically be a Ticket and not require a Ticket linked to it to capture time, so time can be captured right on the opp but until they improve that, we will always have a ticket linked and thus can use that when scheduling.

I just wanted to send one last reminder to everyone who's voted on this feature - we're going to start writing the specification for it very shortly, so I wanted to offer everyone one last chance to show us how you currently work with CWM and your sales process, so that TimeZest can absolutely meet those needs. If you're willing to talk to us, you can book a time with me here:
Thank you in advance for helping us make TimeZest better!

P.S. If you don't look after sales for your organization, perhaps you could pass this on to the people who do?

Hey everyone!
We're about to kick off design and development to allow TimeZest to work with opportunities in ConnectWise Manage and Autotask, and we'd love to talk to some of you to find out how you currently use opportunities, and how you'd like to use them with TimeZest.
If you'd be willing to show us your current process, and tell us any frustrations you have with it, please book a meeting with me:
Feedback like this helps us build features that are as valuable to you as possible.
Thanks!

This request has been here for a while, and while ConnectWise still doesn't allow 3rd party pods to be added to the Opportunity screen, our new workflows engine might offer some ways to work with this.
One thing we could do is add a "Create an Opportunity" action, which would allow TimeZest to create an opportunity when a customer schedules, and schedule an activity associated with that opportunity. Alternatively perhaps this could include some sort of "Find or create" a logic to not create duplicate opportunities where one already exists for a customer.
Is this something which might be useful?

Jason Langenauer: Yes, this would be beneficial, especially if we can make sure that it can also create a contact for a company that exists, or if it is not a company, be able to still create a contact under the default catchall or something so that Sales folks can still utilize this. It would help us ensure that Sales people are adopting to creating opportunities prior to a quote going out.

Jason Langenauer: Yes, I think this would be helpful. It would also be beneficial if in addition to creating and opportunity, if it could update the opportunity if there already is one.

This would be great if it worked with AutoTask as well
