It's great that we can schedule reactive work for the service desk. It would be fantastic if we could schedule the proactive side of the business.
Tickets and tasks are separate items in Autotask, being able to schedule project tasks is a critical item for anyone using project in AT.

At the moment, Autotask only supports the display of vendor insights like TimeZest on tickets and configuration items. You'd have to get Datto to add support for insights to project tasks, but TimeZest will certainly implement it if/when they make it possible.

Jason Langenauer: I second this. I have also approached Datto for this to motivate for it to happen. I think the more people vote the quicker they will need to implement.

We've looked into this some more, and it's still not technically possible. We can probably work around the lack of a contact on a project task, but the second issue is that Autotask doesn't support "vendor insights" on tasks (just on tickets and configuration items) which is what TimeZest uses to display the Insight where you can schedule against tickets.
We would need to display the Insight to get around the issue where tasks don't have contacts, and we would offer some UI to select a contact manually, but without that, we can't really do anything.
To progress on this, make whatever requests you can to Autotask to add support for vendor insights on project tasks, which is the technical barrier to us working on this.

We'd love to add this, but it's unfortunately not technically possible: the information we can obtain from the Autotask API regarding a project task only includes the account it's associated with (as does the associated Project), rather than an individual contact.
Without this information, TimeZest can't know who to send the email asking the client to select a time for their appointment.
