More location options

Overall, I would like to see more choices for meeting locations. Such as “client office” or a favorite coffee shop, zoom or teams etc. would like the option to let the client pick location or default a location for a meeting type.

In Halo, we (previously) required a location for Onsite Visits - it would be great if TimeZest could accommodate that requirement!

I think it might be a good idea to add a "specify location" option from the TimeZest pod in CW (in the "Show Additional Options", similar to how you can choose a specific date or contact)
By default, no specific location would be chosen, but by activating the choice option, it would be possible to retrieve the locations of the client's sites for example? (with default locations like "remote", "MSP address" ...)

Ability to change 'Location' on Appointment

Hi - we are using Autotask - I sent in a chat questions and received this: (we want to be able to change location in the appointment)

Proper Location information

Right now we rarely have proper location information. We would like the following upgrades:
- If Teams/Zoom meeting, link to the teams/zoom meeting shows up in the location. Right now it is confusing with either a blank location or the address of the contact that shows up aas the location. I am hoping that if this is fixed it will also allow the "Join" button functionality that normally pop's up with Teams meetings on Outlook or Teams calendars.
- For onsite appointments it would be nice to be able to pick or determine the location of the onsite appointment. The address of the location would then show up in the location field of the appointment indicating it is an onsite meeting.
- For phone call only meetings (we don't use these anymore, not sure if TimeZest supported) the phone number of the person to call should show up in the location. Usually we put "Joe to call Brian on 555-555-555" in the location for a phone call type appointment.

We would love something similar for in person / site meetings where a client is able to add the address of which office they are located at, or if we are going to meet them at our office, we can update the location to the meeting to send them our address, or if it is at an independent location like a resutrant / coffee shop / new location.

Location creation on scheduling

Would be nice if the client can read the accounts location and choose one or create a new one. And have this on the service call which will sync to the tech's mobile calendar which would facilitate them pulling up their gps/map app.

It's a little bit difficult for TimeZest to implement this, because locations are defined for each account in Autotask (e.g. for your customers that might have multiple sites), and TimeZest would need some way of knowing which site to select when creating the appointment.

Jason Langenauer: Hi Jason,
Every one of our customers has more than one location. Without this ability, we are not able to schedule accurate appointments.
Is there way for the TimeZest software to pull information directly from that specific data field?
Thank you,
Shanin Mann

Jason Langenauer: Hello Jason!
I like that we get notified when there is a TimeZest response to items that we've upvoted here! So cool!
In AutoTask, we can also set Locations for each Contact. Could Time Zest pull from the Contact listed on the ticket to reference what location the ticket contact is assigned to? However, this still wouldn't be correct 100% of the time.
Another more flexible option would be to present a drop down list of all the locations on the customer's account in the scheduling pane and let the person select at which location they plan to meet. This idea actually also combines with one I had to prompt on whether the meeting is remote or not at the time of generating the scheduling link - one of the "Location" options could be remote, and then add in the meeting link to Teams or Zoom AutoMagically.
I obviously have no idea how the backend of TimeZest works - but if you can pull contact info through the integration, there is more info there that can be used!
Sincerely,
Alia

Flexible Locations

For scheduling non-service meetings, I would like to have options to offer a client the choice of meeting location. Their office (pulled from CA), Mine, Teams, Zoom (maybe they don't use Teams), A coffee shop, a new office that does not yet have an site/location in CWM etc. Would like to see Add/List location options defined for our TZ tenant. then have those available to force for a appointment type or allow client to pick.

This is an interesting option. I'd like something similar, where if we have a Teams-enabled meeting link, I'd like the option for the client to be able to say "sure, use the provided Teams link" or not - right now, I have to maintain both a Teams-enabled link, and that's not. Regarding the location - at least with our setup integrated with ConnectWise, that's pulling right from Manage so I'm not sure how that would be achieved, short of maybe another client-editable field, like is used for problem description in the workflow.

I agree this seems like a huge short coming that I can set a location only for virtual meetings. we would like to be able to list the site of the meeting that are either phone or in person.
