Internal Auto‑Scheduling: Let Dispatch Use TimeZest to Book Behind‑the‑Scenes Work

We would love an option for dispatchers to use TimeZest for non‑customer‑facing scheduling. The dispatcher would simply choose the engineer or group and the required time block, and TimeZest would automatically find the next available matching slot and book the engineer internally. This removes the current manual back‑and‑forth between calendars and the ticket, dramatically speeding up scheduling and improving utilization.

This would be a very helpful feature. We had looked at using the API to program this functionality ourselves, but learned that the API does not expose the actual scheduling mechanics. We instead created "internal" versions of various appointment types, and overrode the workflow actions to remove client-facing notifications. That is still a time consuming process to generate the scheduling URL and manually click through to scheduling. Having the extra appointment types also clutters our AutoTask widget.
