Customize .ics subject line
S
Stephen Moody
Currently the subject line for the ICS invite shows as "[Appointment Type] with [tech name]". We would like to be able to customize this to include things like the [srnumber] and [srsummary]. While we can show these in the ICS details, our clients are requesting this so they can more easily tell appointments apart.

Let me change the Title of the Appointment

When ive enabled "Create an event in the scheduled user's Microsoft 365 Calendar." im not able to set the title.
The title is always "Appointment Type for Ticket T32348348"
this becomes confusing if you have several appointments
at least we should be able to add the ticket title and customer name to it.

Custom Calendar descriptions for Agents

Currently, the calendar descriptions are "Company/Subject". Unfortunately, I have a portal that adds "Request: " to the front of the subject, so my view on my calendar becomes "Company/Requ..." for any ticket that goes through that. I would like to be able to tell it to parse out the "Request..." when adding it to my schedule.

This is a limitation of the integration. I can change everything else except this name. I was told this is a limitation of Microsoft, which does not seem believable because Microsoft isn't randomly setting the subject - it is given one that has components of the appointment.
It should be customizable just like email subjects, notes, calendar notes, etc. This is a limitation of the integration. TZ needs to correct the ability to do this. This request is almost 4 years old.

This is also something that would be helpful for appointments scheduled via the personal page. Including a custom field in the scheduling form that allows the customer to provide a title to suffix to the appointment type is desired.

Allow Customization of Appointment title

We use Halo but I suspect this applies to all PSAs. Right now appointments (ics) files from TimeZest are sent with the title:
Ticket [ID Number] [Appointment Name] with [Technician Name].
What this means, is when users accept this request and it sends back to support@domain.com, that email is processed as a new ticket because Halo expects the following format for ticket ID.
[ID:0123456]
So we need to be able to customize the format of the appointment name to avoid extra tickets.

Include the full Description of the ticket in the Invite title

When invites are sent, there is only the ticket number associated with the title of the invite, this is really hard to remember which project name the invite is related to, the description needs to have more information on the invite.

The subject of the ticket is the most important piece of information. Please allow it to also be in the subject line of the email.

I can't believe how customizable and flexible the system is and this is an outstanding request. This causes problems right now because if a customer accepts an .ics invite, the reply email uses the subject of the ics file, and then sends into our support system and creates a new ticket. This should take the title of the appointment that was created in Autotask / Halo / Connectwise. I'm not really sure why it's different?
Can I ask Halo why this is a low priority to change or why it's not customizable to be begin with? Your software has made changes in the last 3 years to be valuable for Sales people who live outside of the PSA with all the direct 365 features, but we still can't change the name of an appointment? Please focus on creating and mainatinging the absolute best time booking tools for the PSA before you go off and work on other things.

Appointment subject line in .ICS file needs to match confirmation email
K
Kent Schumann
Currently, when sending appointments to non-Microsoft systems (such as Google users), although the subject line of the email they receive has the full text of whatever we put into the email template, the ICS file they receive which creates the appointment uses a system-generated subject line that does not match.
TimeZest needs to extend the subject line from the confirmation email template into the ICS file that is generated.
